TREIBBALL WORKSHOP

"Try Treibball and get the ball rolling..."

Learn about this new exciting dog activity and try Treibball (pronounced try-ball) a new dog sport, originated in Germany and invented by the Dutch dog trainer Jan Nijboer for energetic “job-less” herding dogs.

Dogs are sent out to bring (push) large exercise balls back to their handler. This sport promotes team-work and distance control between dog and his handler and is a low impact activity which provides a great way of physical and mental exercise. This activity is suitable for dogs of all sizes and ages and is NOT just for herding breeds.

What to expect from our workshop? You will learn about the background of this new activity, see a demo with an experienced dog and learn the first steps/exercises with your own dog.

When: NA

Where: Wedgewood Farm, Indoor Barn with sandsurface,

Hazeley Heath, Hook, RG27 8LT (near Hartley Wintney)

Instructor: Doro Lambert

Costs: £40 per dog/handler team or £15 for spectator place

Please note that your dog will not be working for the whole length of the workshop and needs to be comfortable in a crate or on a mat near you during the theory part of the lessons.

This workshop is not suitable for dog-aggressive or highly dog-reactive dogs. If you are unsure the workshop is suitable for you and your dog, please contact me before registering for this event.
